Membership Dues

Club bills are out. If you have not yet received yours contact Jim Kelley at 860- 535-4100. Bills should be paid as soon as possible to avoid forgetting or missing the due date. The bill should be paid in one check, not installment payments or multiple checks. Remember to include the stub and to write your member number on the check. Club membership is terminated if bill is not paid in full by July 4, 2012.

Saltwater Fishing Rules

The DEEP in March issued the final fishing rules for black sea bass, scup, summer flounder and Tautog regarding dates, size and creel limits. These rules vary for party boats, your boat and fishing from shore. Too see the rules go to www.ct.gov/deep/fishing.

Fishing Reminders

First stocking April 5th at 5 PM: Opening day April 7th at 7 AM(also fisherman’s breakfast); Huck Finn day May 19th (lines in the water at 10 AM).

Budget For Next Fiscal Year

All committee chairmen are reminded that budgets for the next fiscal year are due to Neil Saari.

Skeet Field Payment Increase

We are the last club to raise our costs for shooting a round of skeet. But it had to be done. Starting April 1st the price for a round of skeet for club members will be $3.00 for Non Members is will be $5.00.

Membership Chairman Position

Last month’s request for those interested in learning the procedures for membership chairmen did not have any results. Again anyone interested in learning theprocedures please contact Jim Kelley or Dan booker.

Skeet Field Cleanliness

It’s great that club members can exercise their dogs on club property. However cleaning up after them is a responsibility not being complied with on the Skeet field. Please be responsible.

Electric Boat Security Training

EB Security will be using the multipurpose range for training from the 16th to the 24th of April. All other ranges will be open. The GSC representatives for EB training is filled for these dates. If you want to be put on the waiting list call Tom Roche at the number above in the committee chairman section.

Spring Field Day

The field day is scheduled for the 29th of April. The ranges may be closed on the 28th for setup. George Chapman will be having a work party at 9AM on this day to clean the ranges.

Spring Field Day Raffle Tickets

Field day raffle tickets are available .See Wayne Carbone to pick up. The raffle is very important to the clubs operation; and now may be even more important this year.

Archery 3-D Target Work Party

The Archery Committee will have a work party setting out the 3-D targets on April 7, at 7am. This is also opening day for fishing at the NS/Vol property, we picked this day so we can help support the Fish Committee's breakfast.

16 Gauge Side By Side shoot

The 21st annual 16 gauge side by side shoot is scheduled for Sunday 22 April. If you don't have a 16 gauge SxS you may be able to borrow one for the shoot.

Kitchen Help

Jay Presser is still looking for one or two people to help in the kitchen for Sunday breakfasts. Sunday Breakfast is one of the most important social events the club has. Give Jay a call if you can help.

Email List Update

The clubs E-Mail list for receiving the newsletter has been bounced against the membership lists. If you received the newsletter by US mail by accident please contact Tim Phillips or Jim Kelley to have your E-Mail address corrected.
